These Terms of Use apply to your use of Recycled Crafts (techavanco.com, “the site”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

What the site provides

The site publishes free tutorials and project ideas for crafts made from everyday materials, for general information and personal enjoyment. We work to keep the instructions clear and accurate, but we do not guarantee that every tutorial is free of errors or that you will get a particular result by following it. Boxes, jars, cans, papers and glues vary, so the measurements, quantities and drying times in the tutorials are examples to adapt to the materials you have.

Crafts at your own risk

You follow the tutorials at your own risk. Many projects involve scissors, craft knives, hot glue, hammers and nails, or containers whose cut edges can be sharp. You are responsible for deciding whether a project is suitable for you, for using tools with care and for supervising any child who takes part. Knives, hot glue and hammers should be handled by adults.

Use only containers that held food, drinks or dry household goods, and never containers that held chemicals. Decorated containers are for display and for dry, non-food storage. We do not test or certify any material, glue, paint or finished project, and nothing on the site is a statement that an item is safe for a particular use. Always read and follow the instructions on the products you use. The site does not give professional advice of any kind.

Using our content

Unless stated otherwise, the text, illustrations and design of the site belong to Recycled Crafts. The illustrations are original work made for this site. You are welcome to:

  • read, print and use the tutorials for personal, classroom, library or other non-commercial purposes;
  • make any project for yourself or as a gift and adapt it however you like;
  • share a link to any page;
  • quote short passages with a clear credit and a link back to the original page.

The illustrations may not be republished, in print or online, without written permission. Please do not republish whole articles, sell them, or present our text or illustrations as your own work.

Crafting with cardboard, paper, jars and cans is a common pastime, and anyone is free to make similar objects. Our rights relate to our own written instructions and illustrations, not to the general ideas behind them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site. This includes attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with how the site works, sending spam or unlawful content through the contact form, or copying the site in bulk by automated means beyond what is needed for normal search engine indexing.

The site links to a small number of third-party websites for background information. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
